Nuova ASP wins a contract for the LPIC project (Liwa Plastic Complex) in Oman
Nuova ASP is pleased to announce that the Company has recently been awarded an order from Tecnimont, main contractor of the Italian Group Maire Tecnimont, for the LPIC (Liwa Plastic Complex) project which involves the construction of two polyethylene and polypropylene plants in Oman for the customer Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company SAOC (Orpic) and which is part of a huge LNG extraction plant and steam cracker plant for ethylene production. This project, whose total investment exceeds 6,4 billion dollars, is one of the main projects in Oman and aims to increase the annual production of polyethylene and polypropylene to 1,400,000 tons. This increase will allow a significant expansion of the oil derivatives industry in the region and specifically in the Sohar industrial port area. Once finished, the project will be one of the most technologically advanced petrochemical plants in the world. Nuova ASP scope of supply includes a series of lighting fixtures such as high pressure sodium vapor projectors and fluorescent lamps in aluminum and GRP. This is an important reference for Nuova ASP, a tangible sign of the reliability of its products.
